MQ | The Red Sun
Eisheth felt the earth beneath her tremble - she was unsure if it were a true rumbling of the angry earth, or an embodiment of her own rage. Below her in the Oasis, rippling red against the sandy browns and glittering, otherworldly pinkish-blood color of the Star-Touched crystals stood a familiar and unwelcome figure. The rage that broiled in her chest forced her teeth to clench, snapping ribs of the small lizard she carried in her mouth. She let her small meal drop from her lips, disregarding the cry her stomach let out at the act; the mare's once pearly, glistening coat was dull and hollow from dirt, sand, and lack of food and fresh water. But the pain her body felt was forgotten as her eyes fell on Syndicate. The other mare was full of life and strength. Untouched by the hardship of the Oasis, Syn looked around with a pitiful expression at her fellow Hunters. She must have just arrived here, but she was not welcome, and Eiseth lurched down the dune to make that fact known. Syn's
