A low rumble hummed over the hills, a message from the roiling clouds behind them. Vesimeloni rocked back on her hindquarters, stopping in her tracks, ears pricked into the slowly building wind. "What is that!" she called, and Eitr turned to her, smiling broadly at his daughter. "A summer storm," he replied. "It is bidding farewell to Summer and welcoming autumn." Vesi's eyes filled with wonder as raindrops landed on her nose, and a smile lifted her lips as she dashed away to play in the rain, Eitr close behind.
